Sardinia is one of the lesser known large islands in the Mediterranean sea, situated south of Corsica. The beautiful nature, bizarre rock formations, secluded beaches and friendly inhabitants make it an ideal biking destination. Your bike is transported forth and back by us, and we meet at the airport of Olbia. Of course you can travel by car and ship, as well. The raid itself starts from the small coastal village of Cala Gonone, from where we first make day trip, and then depart on a big loop through the interior and back along the magnificent coasts.
The 6 stages are pretty hefty but feasible for regular bikers, with here and there a more technical lap or even a bit of footing it, warranting a 2/2 level for this marvellous raid.
Lodging in cool hotels, hostels and “agriturismo’s”. We sleep twice in the interior, the other hotels are smack on the coast. The tasty kitchen tops off this smart bike week.
