With El Camino Loco we try to show you the “hidden” mtb corners of the world: we don’t visit the Alps for instance, as nearly everything there has been biked grey already. You join us to discover new, surprising territories. But there are yet a few destinations we do not (yet) advertise, because they are a bit extreme even for us: for instance the Hoggar desert in southern Algeria, or Alaska during winter...
4 years ago, Koen of Camino Loco began planning to take part in a non-stop 500 Km winter race, very much up North. And undertook to custom-build his bike for that purpose himself. The big problem was that the first prototype not only did well on soft sand and snow, but proved really fan-tas-tic on every other possible surface. The Sandman proved to be the One bike to Rule them All !
